Abstract: Background- The dematiaceous fungi of Exserohilum species, namely, E. rostrartum, E. longirostratum, E. mcginnissii, have been rarely associated with fungal keratitis. E.rostratum is an emerging cause of keratomycosis of importance, more common in tropical and sub-tropical climates such as India. Results- A retrospective analysis of three patients in three different scenarios presenting to a tertiary care center of western India with Exserohilum keratitis was done. Conclusion- This case series signifies the need to be aware of Exserohilum as a rare cause of keratitis, with a timely microbiology, prompt and appropriate management helping in the resolution of this infection with significant improvement in the visual prognosis.
